Personal Statement
My name is Paige Varvarigos. I am a soccer enthusiast and train to better myself 365 days a year. I play for my high school as a starter (outside back) and switch from left to right as I have a switch foot and play center back for my club team. I have some unique talents such as bending corners (Columbo) or placing them per coaches direction. I take all of the free kicks and can place the ball with 80% accuracy on direct and indirect kicks. I train to better myself all year with strength and conditioning as well as a private speed coach. I attend TB12 for PT maintenance and follow a strict nutritional regiment to keep in peak shape. I believe athleticism is a key component to my success which I started in middle school. I also take every opportunity possible to challenge myself with guest playing for d1 women’s leagues in the off season and attend various summer programs such as BU - Franklin Pierce and boot camps. My work ethic is outstanding as I believe that there is always room for improvement and there is always someone waiting to take your spot. I have been strength training since middle school (2-3 days per week during competition season and 4-5 during the off season) I am a 2021 graduate so plan to start my college searches this fall season as a junior. I am currently a junior and in my high school season. I am a starter and play the whole game for King Philip. We are ranked number 1 in the state of MA and 3 in the county. As a defender I am proud that our defensive line has only taken three goals all season . We are noted to be the “strongest defensive line in the hockomock league”. I hope to find a college this year where I can continue to play soccer.
