Personal Statement
Hi, my name is Mackenzie Rahn and I have started my junior year in the classroom and on the athletic field.
I am a 5’6’’ 120 pound Outside Back/Outside Midfielder with vision, speed, agility, endurance, and determination to play at the highest level of my ability. I am known for my speed, endurance, and ability to read the game. I am currently maintaining a 3.666 GPA (out of 4.0) which includes honors and Advance Placement classes.
I am looking to be an asset to your school on the field and in the classroom. Right now I am interested in pursuing a career in Elementary Education and am not limiting myself geographically in my academic and athletic pursuits.
My work ethic and drive is best illustrated by playing multiple sports year round. This fall I am playing on my club U17 MRL soccer team (Nationals Union Red 00)

and I am also running on the Varsity high school cross country team. As a first year runner I posted the 4th fastest 5k time of 19:28 in school history, achieved 2nd Team All County, and was named Team Most Valuable Runner. http://www.athletic.net/CrossCountry/Athlete.aspx?AID=8618860#tT1
In 2016 I was named team captain and helped lead our team to a overall season of 19-1 with only 6 goals scored against our team. I was the only in season varsity high school soccer team sophomore call-up to a team comprised of juniors and seniors while also running varsity track. The track season ended with the first ever female team County Championship in school history which included a first place finish in the 4x400m relay.

Being involved in multiple sports has benefited my soccer career both physically and mentally. This accomplishment has taught me how to effectively manage my time, and developed my determination to be successful in everything I do.
