I started playing soccer through Georgetown Ayso (American Youth Soccer Organization) at the age of six. I first started playing club in seventh grade, I started on a select team for two years and moved up to premiere. I have played there since. I joined club late, I wasn't the strongest player and it showed. However, my first club coach told me "You have something I can't teach, you have a love and understanding for the sport that I don't see in other players." That's when I really realized how much soccer meant to me. I decided I needed to work ten times harder than everyone else, due to my height coaches didn't really expect much from me, I have had to prove myself multiple times to coaches, including this current school season. I was on varsity as a sophomore and unfortunately didn't get a season due to COVID-19. At the beginning of this varsity season I started out barely playing, but I proved to my coach that I should be out on the field. I went from playing 20 minutes each game, to starting and playing full games. My coach even told me I play like I'm 5'7 and not 5'0. I would be a good candidate for your team because I play with my heart in the game all the time. I always have a positive attitude and am a good teammate, I show up to play and perform, and won't stop proving that I can be just as strong as any other player regardless of my height. I like learning and growing from my mistakes and failures and I am a very kind individual who likes being a part of a team.
