McKenna Schultz '21 Recruiting Profile

     I started soccer when I was very young and fell in love with the sport.  Growing up playing soccer has influenced who I am today.  It taught me that you're not always going to succeed the first time. My team always played in the state tournament, but lost year after year early on. We kept growing closer as a team and built each other up.  This year, we got to the finals and lost in a close game. It was devastating, but it gave me the drive to work even harder over the next several months to contribute to the future success of my team. This experience helped me realize what more I can do to help further myself athletically, academically and socially. 

     I have been able to be part of a club and tight knit community that has the best coaches and nicest, hard working girls imaginable. Throughout my experience, I have learned that it's important to be a part of a team, work hard, be committed and compromise. I look forward to attributing these  qualities to a college program that will challenge me athletically and academically.  I grew up playing four sports, so I know how to be part of a team and contribute everything I have to your program.
