Madison Bloom '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Madison Bloom. I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old and it has been a major part of my life throughout the past 12 years. I play outside back the majority of the time as well as center back, but have been experimenting with playing as a forward. As a rising senior in high school, I was recently moved up to the Liverpool 05/06 ECNL team for club soccer (#91). I also play on the Athens Varsity soccer team for high school (#19). As a freshman, I made the Varsity team and I plan on finishing my high school soccer career on it as well. I am a hard worker, coachable, team-oriented, and very committed to soccer. I consistently strive to do my best and I am not one to back down from a challenge. 

Apart from this, I am in honors and AP classes and take pride in my academics. In 2021 I was nominated by teachers to be the Athens High School representative for the Troy Youth Assistance Program. I directly report to the Troy School Board of Education. I am a 2nd chair cello player in orchestra and a part of the Ambassadors club, Spanish club as well as circle of friends. In addition to this, I was offered a spot on the Athens High School Unified Basketball team. This team is made up of students with disabilities and anyone who wants to play for fun. It gives students a chance to build relationships and showcase their skills on the court. On top of this, I have newly become a member of the Link program where I support students with disabilities in a peer-to-peer learning environment, helping them to achieve success in their classes. Not to mention, I was elected Vice President of Student Council and am on the Leadership Advisory Board where students and administration collaborate, helping bring change to the school. Even with all this, soccer continues to be my number one passion and I am looking forward to playing for another four years!
