My name is Dawnara Rollins, I’m a Junior currently attending Vicksburg high school. My goals after high school are to attend college to study nursing and hopefully continue my soccer career. I played recreational soccer for a few years when I was young, and my 7th grade year I became more interested in my soccer playing and joined Sting club soccer, now DBSS, which I have played for since. Despite our teams lack of winnings through the years, our hardships have only encouraged me to become a leader, harder working, and more dedicated to my soccer playing. My favorite position to play is defense, although my interest in the midfield is beginning to develop as my playing skills have grown. Growth in my skills is recognized by my coaches as well, I have been given captain and the nickname “beastly” during my career. Just as my dedication to soccer, I’m highly invested in my education, which I’m constantly working to be better at. I enjoy challenging myself with my schedule by enrolling in AP classes. My GPA has been above a 4.0 since my freshman year and have stayed within the top ten of my grade while participating in extra curricular such as soccer and cheer-leading both at varsity levels. Thanks for taking the time to read my personal statement, hopefully we will be in contact soon :)
