Personal Statement
Ever since I first touched a ball at the age of 4, the sport has been my passion. Soccer is what drives me to become successful and is my getaway to so many other opportunities in my future. My passion for soccer is indescribable. Through club soccer, I have worked through different difficulties such as mental blocks, injuries, and most importantly, the various personalities I play with or against. Supportive teammates and coaches are very important to me. That has led me to the player I am today, a good teammate and a coachable player. I continue to do the same on and off the field with communication, commitment to do better in school, continuing to volunteer, and strive to be a better person every day.
Off the field and in school I am involved in a program called zLinks. zLINKS is a peer to peer support program where general education students serve as a mentor, role model, and friend to students who qualify for special education services. I support another student named Keaton. Keaton and I have become friends and seeing him daily and the impact I have on his development is the best part of my day. I never thought this program could have such influence on me and my own growth.

Playing for a competitive soccer team at an equally academic college is my long-term goal. I have set my goals high and work toward making them come true through hard work. I currently play Forward, Striker, and Attacking center mid. Recently, I have been called to play Center Back to support our defense, provide speed in the back, and accurate driven balls to the offense. I have the capability to be flexible all over the pitch where I bring value and support the team. I have strong self awareness to know what I am good at and where I need to grow. In doing this self evaluation as much as I can I am always looking for the best role at the time depending on the situation on and off the field to help my team win. I don't need to be the star of the show but I do want to be the best teammate and person I can be.
