Personal Statement
Welcome to my profile, I am glad you are taking a look.
In the fall season (2021) I played at Rochester Community College in Rochester, Minnesota - not too far from the Mayo clinic. I have most of my eligibility left and was looking for a place to showcase my talents while I transition back into a higher division. I want to secure next steps at the higher level as soon as I can.
My story is like many this last two years- short version, I started a season at a D2 in Montana, and then began exploring options to pursue soccer elsewhere. I was accepted into a YWAM program in Australia where I could dual use my soccer talents and also work in their outreach teams for a year....and then covid stopped that plan in its tracks, but at the last minute, and it was too late to get picked up by a team for the season. I spent that year taking online classes, managing a gym/personal training, and working on my skills, Rochester gave me spot for this past fall, but I need to move on quickly as I really am ready to head into my major courses and get planted….Coach knows and is aware of my plan.
I am looking for the end of my college career. Ideally, I am a player that would like to stay on the field after that time, as well, and am looking for those opportunities.
I am a team player, but have also been a team leader and captain of several teams. I always take opportunities to motivate and encourage my teammates. I like to see people try even if they are feeling defeated...and I expect that of myself, too - to dig deep and try hard on the field - actually, that is how I live my life, too - dig deep, work hard, push with tenacious passion, and follow through to the end.
I was a well rounded and active highschool student, and still am as a young adult. I have a skill set that I think could be an asset to teams in many different ways and look forward to building relationships with teammates and coaching staff that will give me opportunities to continue to develop my skills and contribute to the team/organization I am a part of -
Some accomplishments:
Lead scorer on state champion team
Awarded MCAC player
I have trained under a variety of coaches and styles, learning from each one.
I have had time in various team positions, but forward is the spot I make the biggest impact but with versatility.
I bring lots of energy to the field- by my own assessment and that of others.
Please take a look at my profile (that I still need to update a bit) but also contact me through my profile here. I am excited to see what doors open to continue to play this game I love. Thanks.
