Carter Nye '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a two-sport athlete from Minnesota looking to use my athletic talent and academic achievements to attend a fantastic university where I hope to major in finance/economics so I can earn my MBA and someday become a CFO. These are lofty goals for sure, but what you don't know about me is that I am a highly competitive and driven person, and these goals provide me with lots of motivation in both sport, and life.

Over the past couple of years, I have started to split my time between soccer and tennis, and I honestly love both sports! Right now, I am team captain on the U17 Premier1 Tonka United team, and have been on top travel teams for the past 8 years.  My primary position is center back and I absolutely love the mental and physical toughness required to play this position. The highlight of my soccer career was being invited to travel to Scotland during the summer of 2019 and compete against some amazing international talent.  

More recently, I was named (by opposing coaches) to the All-Tournament Team during Minnesota Presidents Cup, summer 2021.  This past summer (2022), my team won Minnesota State Cup, and earned a trip to Colorado to play in National Cup finals.  We competed well against some of the best teams in across the country.  

My goal is to someday bring my competitive spirit with me to college and be able to compete in soccer.   

Please note:  I get asked to play on the GA team (Tonka Fusion Elite - TFE) each and every year, however my year-round tennis tournament schedule prohibits me from committing to the rigorous GA schedule.  I do have an NCSA tennis profile as well if you'd like to review my background there.
