Personal Statement
Since I have started playing soccer one of my biggest dreams has been to play soccer in college. Scoring the game winning goal from half field in the last minute of the state championship for club soccer, helping lead my team to it’s second consecutive regional tournament was the highlight of my career so far. That experience taught me that if I continue to work hard I can achieve my goal to play at a school of my choice. I work hard by practicing by myself, doing private lessons to help improve all aspects of my game. I know these things have helped me grow as a student athlete.
Playing soccer has taught me about teamwork and leadership skills that are reflected on the field and in the classroom. When doing drills with my team I have learned to be more encouraging than negative, and when someone is struggling with an assignment I am first to step in and help them understand it better. I work as hard in the classroom as I do on the field which has lead me to my 4.0 GPA. My desire is to attend a school that fits me athletically as well as academically. I know I can be a great leader on your team.
