Personal Statement
Little did I know that when I went with my sister to sign up for club soccer at age 10, it would become such a big passion. I was lucky to have a good club coach that influenced my skill and mindset towards the sport the first couple of years. I was able to do cross country and track which laid a foundation for me in soccer. Those two sports have helped me come so far in both speed and endurance, which I've found are very important to have on the field. Through this sport, I have learned that hard work and mental toughness will eventually lead to success. It has taught me that good work ethic and giving 110% doesn't just get me far in athletics, but it gets me far in everything else in life!
Since I believe that my academics are equally or more important than my athletics, I do my absolute best to balance the two. I've learned that hard work in each of these at the right time can help me succeed in both. My academic goals for high school are to keep a 4.0 GPA all the way through and graduate top 10 in my class. I will try my best to do the same in college because I know that my best will get me where I need to go.
