Amelia Matthews '27 Recruiting Profile

While many may find themselves lost in life, I have been fortunate to find my passion early. Through a combination of luck, perseverance, commitment, and family support, I have had the pleasure of experiencing the very best St. Louis soccer has to offer. Through my training I have developed a philosophy that has solidified my place in many teams and helped me rise to the top of my craft. My philosophy is simple; always strive to be better. Through this mindset I have moved from rec league to division 4, 3 and then to division 1 club competition. Most recently I was selected by my current coach to play in the National Premier League as the starting and main goal keep. For every season that I have played I have found myself at the top of the list in statistical rating of goal keepers in my league. With a driving passion to develop my skills I have pressed my coaches to include me on multiple teams for field play as well allowing me to develop skills in every position on the field. My love and passion are on the pitch and when it comes to training, learning, and improving, too much is never enough. I am very proud of the path that I have led thus far and the great friends I have made along the way. It is more than a dream for me to continue to develop my skills in every way possible and I am excited beyond words to see where the future takes me!
