Maura Giesler '23 Recruiting Profile

As I prepare for my college journey, I look forward to growing personal, academically, and athletically. My goal as a student-athlete is to attend a university with both strong academics and athletics --  one that provides me opportunities to get involved in the total campus experience. I want to be engaged in the athletic community and the school community as a whole, always wanting to make my school proud!

As a goalkeeper for one of the top teams in the 2004 age group, any match we play could be against some of the most talented players in the nation. My commitment to fitness and technical training, combined with my understanding of the game, always allows me to support my team both defensively and offensively, which is very important given the level of competition.

My strengths include outstanding reflexes and shot-stopping capabilities, along with significant passing abilities, foot skills, and overall vision of the field. I think as a goalkeeper, you need to have strong technical skills with your feet so you can be that 11th field player your team needs when you are attacking offensively.

 I am confident that I have the talent3 to be a great teammate, leader, and student-athlete at the high collegiate level.
