It all started when I was 4 years old when my father signed me up for a YMCA youth soccer league in my hometown. As I grew up so did my passion for the game of soccer. I developed an understanding of the game because I was lucky to stay with the same coach and team for multiple years. The game gradually grew on me and my parents and coaches knew I had potential to excel in the sport. The years went by and the blessings of winning championships and tournaments, created my competitive fire my dad says I get from him. High school try outs were nerve wracking but I made the Junior varsity team as a freshman. The highlight of my high school soccer career was getting moved up and starting on varsity my freshman year. My sophomore campaign was a little different. I didn't make varsity nor did I get moved up to varsity, and it wasn't because of my play or grades but politics within the coaching staff. I made the best of it scoring nine goals and having the best all around season yet. I learned a lot last season. I discovered that the world isn't fair and that I had to just re-focus, re-educate, and improve my game. I learned the value sacrifice and leadership in just those 3 months.
Striving to get a bachelors in Psychology and minor in Social Services, my number 1 collegiate goal is to receive the best education I can while playing the sport I love. The characteristics I believe I have are adaptability, work-ethic, commitment, determination, and positive realism. I believe that more will develop as I continue on my journey and by then I will have what it takes to qualify as a member and leader on your team.
