Soccer has been a part of my life since I was three years old. It had always been my goal to play soccer for as long as I could, including playing in college. However, my eighth-grade year, I wasn't feeling the same love for the sport I had my entire life. I was completely burned out. I told myself I was done for good and took freshman year off. However, my longing for playing the sport brought me back. I had been playing soccer year-round ever since I could remember, and it was a part of me. Sophomore year in the spring, I tried out for my high school team, made varsity, and fell in love with the sport all over again. That's what makes me different from other recruits; one never has to worry about me getting burned out and not wanting to play. I already went through my "break", and never want to go through that feeling of missing a part of me again. It's safe to say that I have planned out my path for college, and that is one that includes me playing soccer.
On and off the field, I am a leader. I have good communication skills, which makes me a valuable member of a team, both on and off the field. I always strive to do better and will spend hours at a time improving myself and fixing my skills, both in sports and academics. This personality trait of perseverance and a refusal to give up has led me to achieve good grades in school, and to be where I am athletically today. Said personality traits of perseverance, a desire to stick to what I love, and leadership would make me a good candidate for your team.
