Personal Statement
“A and E: attitude and effort” is the phrase that my mother drilled into my mind ever since I was young. Do I have a good Attitude, and am I giving my entire Effort? Every time I step onto the soccer field I ask myself this question. As the youngest starting player on my UK team, that plays in the National league, I have to show the women each day that I can take on great responsibility. Each and every practice I show up with my best attitude and my greatest effort. I am a player who will give my all each and everyday. I love learning, and show up with a coachable attitude. I set forth to be an example of both dedication and diligence to my teammates both on and off the field. I have had to overcome cultural boundaries like strong accents, different playing styles, and customs. “Attitude and Effort” will remain my motto for everything I do: athletics, academics and everything else, no matter where I am.
