Ever since I was 5, I've been in love with the game of soccer. Starting off with a co-ed recreational team, I remember the daily excitement to go to practice and especially play games. At 8 year old, my parents and I decided to make the move to club soccer at Heat FC LV. Finding the love and passion for soccer gave my parents' hyper active child something to do. One of my fondest memories is watching Hope Solo playing in World Cup Finals against Japan. Even though they lost, that was the day I truly realized I wanted to play soccer at a high level.
Now at the summer before junior year, I am infatuated with the idea of playing soccer at some of my dream colleges. Encountering many injuries, pulling me out for months at a time, has only showed me how much I am enamored by the game of soccer. I will admit balancing high GPA's and soccer has always been tough but it has taught me to be punctual, accountable, responsible and prioritize my time.
