Personal Statement
Athletically I have always been a very driven player. From a very young age I've understood the amount of discipline and work soccer takes and playing collegiate soccer is something I am very dedicated to. Once I step onto the field its like a switch, complete focus and determination. I'm constantly communicating with my teammates, checking my position and putting everything I have out there and leaving myself on the field. I have big ambitions and strive to achieve any task I am faced with. When faced with adversity, I problem solve. Admittedly, balancing school and soccer has never been easy but its a task I would take ten times over. I believe that problems are unavoidable, its rather the way you address them that shows the true character of the player and the person.
Off the field I am a student who focuses on challenging herself. All three years I've been in high school I've received a 3.5 GPA (unweighted) or higher and nothing will change moving into my senior year. I am on track to graduate with an advanced honors diploma and have had 3 AP classes my junior year and have set up my schedule to attend 3 more next year.
By aiming to achieve so high in the classroom while playing high school and club soccer, it has taught lifelong lessons that have changed me for the better. I have learned time management, dedication, flexibility, heart, perseverance, and resilience. I am the type of player that is willing to work for any coach, on and off the field. I understand stepping up and playing college soccer is no easy task but I am dead set on putting my whole heart into it, mind, body and soul.
