Personal Statement
The game of soccer is a beautiful game. It's not just a hobby and/or an occupation, as other athletes may treat it. It is a way of life! Personally, I hope that I can live this way of life through the rest of high school, and through college. I play competitive soccer, as a center back, on a great LVSA GA team in Las Vegas, Nevada. On my club team, I was rewarded as team captain! Being captain, I am here to PUMP UP my team and support them through anything and everything! I completely understand that I play a role on any team that I get the opportunity to play on and I am to set an example. Throughout my 8 whole years of soccer, I have learned far more than I ever thought I would. I learned what being a leader truly means. I have found that a good leader bestows unquestionable integrity and has the ability to guide others in reaching a common goal.. I have the ability to shine in positions from center forward to center midfield, to center back! I aspire to have a positive attitude, keep my head down and work (rather than talk about what I want), and treat my teammates and coaches with respect. I think that character on and off the field resembles the overall makeup of who somebody is, and why their qualities and efforts shine. With all of the successes and achievements that I have had, there were plenty of downfalls and failures. I have made my set of mistakes, I have had my doubts, and have thought those negative thoughts. But through all of that adversity, I never gave up. I feel that my drive and determination, as unbelievable as they are, can make a huge difference on a college-level team.
