Personal Statement
Since I was in elementary school, I have always had aspirations of playing at a higher level than just Varsity in high school. As of this year, I will be a sophomore at Hopkinton High School. So far, I have had a great experience as a high schooler. Not only academically but also as an athlete. I began playing Varsity soccer my freshmen year and began starting as a forward early in the season. After my first season with this team, I really began to think about my future. I did not think that four years of soccer was long enough and began dreaming about playing in college.
Now, I will begin my season as a sophomore, starting at forward. I hope to bring my team to playoffs where we will have a good shot at the Championship title. Although Hopkinton is just a small Division III team, we have competed with much larger schools and I am proud of how far we have come. In later years, I hope to become a captain where I can lead the team and have another great season.
As I said, I have been successful academically as well. I always challenge myself with difficult classes and work hard to make honor roll gold. At the end of my freshmen year, I was known as a scholar athlete along with many other athletes in my grade. It was a great accomplishment and I hope to maintain that.
Overall, I hope to someday become a part of a Division I soccer team where I can be a great player and teammate.
