Personal Statement
I have never been a strictly "gifted" player. I started playing soccer from a very young age, so yes, it is something that has always come fairly easy to me because of my love for the game. But going into my freshman year I was fully aware that solely years of experience isn't enough. I am someone who believes and lives by the quote "hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard." I take pride in my work ethic and determination, and I feel accomplished when it pays off and results come from countless hours improving my game.
The game of soccer is my daily life and what I love most about this team sport is not only to help myself grow as an individual player and a teammate, but to help my sisters on the team as well. The community I feel on a team is like no other and that is something very important to me, so I always try to make an impact in the atmosphere that I am playing in so everyone can feel it too. There is never a day that I don't go to practice exited to see my teammates and ready to improve.
