I was a late bloomer for soccer because I was so intrigued by other things. Starting in seventh grade, I realized my passion for soccer. Soccer is a fast, exciting, daring, and team sport that always had me on the edge of my seat while watching it. It is a strategic game that still has me fighting for the ball at every chance I get. As a center fullback, I need a leadership set mind so I can help the others on the field, but I also need to be ready at any second for the ball to get booted back. I do have a lot to learn, but my heart and my soul for this sport makes me a perfect candidate for your team. I often have coaches telling me how coach-able I am and how I never give up. Since I started late in soccer, I developed a leadership role to help the underclassman work hard and understand the game. I feel that it is easier for me to understand their struggles, than others who have played their whole life. As someone who has always had their mind set on college, I have a goal that school comes first, even though that can be a struggle when all I want to do is juggle the soccer ball. Overall, I know I am a great candidate for your team because I have academic loyalty, an unbeatable characteristic, and a heart that never gives up.
