Jessica Phillips '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jessica Phillips, I am 5'7" and I weigh 118 lbs. My strongest position is a center or outside back but I also play center midfield and forward. I am from Drewsville, New Hampshire and I go to Fall Mountain Regional High School. I will graduate in 2012. I come from a smaller school that plays in Class M. I made my varsity team as a freshman and we won two state titles in both my freshmen and sophomore year. My sophomore year, I was voted 2nd team all state. I'm starting my junior year now and was voted team captain and made 1st team all state. I also made New Hampshire ODP my sophomore and junior year and have played for Cheshire United Soccer Club for 8 years. I also have played on a mens league for 3 years at Grantham Indoor. I believe that I could bring both perseverance and unity to a team. I persevere through everything even if I get beat or fall down; I get right back up and keep going. I believe that I can bring unity to a team because I do not try to take everyone on as one; I like to work together as a team. Personally, I do not really have a preference where I go to school or the size of the school. I'd rather play at a school where I can make a difference on the field. Financial aid is important to my family as I have three other siblings that plan to go off to college around the same time as me and this will make finances tight. I have thought long and hard about what I want to major. I decided I would like to go into physical therapy. I'm interested in this field because I like the challenge of helping others return to their best physical health. As an athlete I would like to play soccer for four years at college. I would like to play at the highest level that I can personally play at. I want to go to a school that I can make an impact on.
