I have played every position on the field, but I have loved being a goal keeper since I was eight. I love being a goal keeper more than all the other positions because as a goal keeper, I can see the whole field, everything that’s happening, and I have the ability to control what’s in front of me by communicating with my team. In addition, I love being a goal keeper because it is extremely thrilling and exciting. All the diving, sliding, and bursts of speed make the job so much fun. I am 15 years old and a sophomore at Monroe Township High School, NJ. I made the varsity soccer team at my high school in my freshman year. The varsity team at my school already had a senior and a junior goal keeper, but I kept my head down and worked my hardest to carve out a spot for me on the varsity team. My sophomore year of high school soccer, I earned the majority of starts in our games over a senior and captain of the team. In addition to playing high school soccer, I play for Player Development Academy (PDA) on the girls 2002 ECNL team.
I am an excellent student. My average for all of my classes combined in freshman year was a 92, and my average for marking period one of my sophomore year was a 96. I took all freshman core classes, one of them being an honors class. As a sophomore, I am taking all core classes including one honors class.
