I am Alyana Gonel, I am a soccer player. When I was little I was very active. I did many activites such as swimming, karate, ballet, and more. I started playing soccer when I was 8 years old and as soon as I started I knew I loved it, when I started I played at the recreational level at first. One day a club coach, Tony Mackenzie, saw me play and told my mom that I should try out for the Stingrays, my town’s travel, soccer team because I had potential. After trying out and making the team I improved tremendously, and I fell in love with soccer even more. I became interested in soccer when I got to play with a team that had my back and helped me out on the field. Now I play for the World Class FC and my high school team, they help me out on the field and always have my back. I am a Junior in high school right now and so far my academic goals are that I strive for high honors while balancing out soccer. My goal is to play soccer in college while balancing out my nursing career. I haven’t had a major obstacle in my life but I have had a few minor injuries in the past. I do have some unique characteristics/skills in soccer. My unique ability is that my left foot is stronger than my right foot when I shoot the ball in the net. Coaches, I am different from other recruits because I am a funny and cheerful girl who puts so much energy on the on the field. I rarely have a frown on my face and I love meeting/getting to know people. I am different from other people athletically because I am very focused when it comes to soccer and I will do my best to achieve what I need to achieve. With my studies I am very on top of them and I strive to get good grades always.
