Hi, my name is Danielle Banda, I am 17 years old and a Senior at Roswell High School in Roswell, New Mexico. I am a forward and play varsity soccer at Roswell High. I have been on the varsity team since my freshman year. I also played soccer in junior high as well as played on various teams with the Roswell Youth Soccer Association.
My Freshman year I was awarded 2nd Team All District and my Junior year I received awards for 2nd Team All District as well as Honorable Mention All-State. I am currently high scorer for goals in District. I was Player of the Game once my Sophomore year, twice my Junior year and have been Player of the Game three times my Senior year.
I am a very good student and take my education serious. I have not 100% decided on what I want to major in but know I want to do something in medicine so I’ve looked into psychiatry and sports medicine. I feel I still have time to make that decision and plan to watch what happens with healthcare in the United States for guidance on what would be a great fit when that time comes.
I am from a very rural community as well as state so I’ve not had a lot of opportunities to get involved in community activities or other school activities. Although, I am a member of the National Honor Society and plan to participate in NHS community activities once the soccer season is over.
I plan to consider colleges that are a good match to me academically and hopefully allows me to continue playing soccer to help balance my college life.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me!
