Personal Statement

I just wanted to take this time to tell everyone a little bit about myself and my soccer career thus far. I have played soccer for almost 13 years (starting when I was five years old). While all my friends fell in love with dancing and girl scouts, I fell in love with this sport and tried to take every opportunity to better myself. I would take my ball outside every day practicing juggling as well as ball handling. I made sure to learn every position so that I could play anywhere (including keeper). My strongest positions include forward (Left or right) , wing midfield (Left or right) , and defensive midfield. Though those are my strongest positions, I can play anywhere. I also have the ability to shoot from a distance. Of my combined varsity and club stats three of those goals were from about the mid line. I have a vast knowledge of the sport and alot of experience. I have never had a problem with unsportsman like conduct. I have played on a travel team for four years, "The Brooklyn Celtics", (playing all year round). I also have started on my high school team since freshman year. I also have played indoor soccer with the Celtics (turf field) and will continue to do so this coming winter. My travel team were back to back Westchester Undefeated Division Champions from the years of 2010-2011. I also have participated in a tournament at Penn State University in 2010-11. I finished my last season (senior year) with 25 shots on goal- and 8 assists in 16 games. As for my playoff stats I also accumulated 2 shots on goal, unfortunately our team lost 3-2 in the first round.   As for extracurricular activities I have been involved in a charity that raises money for children with autism, as well as being a volunteer at one of my teams, with a program called VIP (Very Important Player) where we teach children with learning disabilities team work and sportsmanship, and above all how to play soccer. This gives them opportunities that they may not have had before I also work at my local veterinarian, and Lifeguard.

As for my academics, I am a 90+ student with a GPA of around 3.82 during my junior year. I have a few academic accomplishments which are listed on my profile. I am very serious when it comes to my grades and never have let them flounder because of my involvement with soccer. Thank you for your time.
