I am dedicated to both my education and the game of soccer. I continuously look for ways to improve both my academic achievements and soccer skills and welcome constructive feedback. This past high school season was the most memorable one thus far, as my team went to the state finals. As a starting sophomore on the varsity team, this season demonstrated what hard work, commitment and teamwork could achieve. Post season, I joined a new club team and have utilized the characteristics learned from my high school team and was nominated co-captain for my strong work ethic and leadership abilities. I am looking to further build on these skills to better prepare me for college level play.
The game of soccer has taught me to set both athletic and academic goals and work hard to achieve them. Being a scholar athlete and making the GPS National team have been goals that I sought to achieve and have conquered. I will be competing in the Surf Cup in San Diego this summer. I have a strong desire to be a mechanical engineer and am currently taking college courses, which requires me to have superior time management skills while juggling my commitment to soccer, performance training and community service. I am seeking to be part of a strong college team where coaches are looking to bring the utmost out of their athletes and are willing to challenge them to reach their fullest potential.
