My soccer career started at age 5 playing rec soccer and ever since my love for the game has done nothing but increase tremendously. From there my club team and High School team has helped shaped me into the player I am today. Throughout my career I have always played up an age group which has helped me work harder and prove that I belonged on the team. Furthermore as a Sophomore on Varsity I had to earn my playing time throughout the season, and I did just that. I ended up playing the majority of games including the Sectional Finals (which we won) and Regionals. Coming into my Junior year we lost a lot of Seniors and I knew I had to step up into the leadership role for my team. I was a starting center midfielder all season and personally achieved First team Section 2 All-Star award and First Team Times Union award. I learned the value of teamwork, leadership, commitment and want to continue to improve as a player at the collegiate level. Next year I will continue to be a leader on and off the field for my team. As a center midfielder I feel as though I am a team player and see the field and distribute the ball greatly. I want to continue my soccer career in college and find a college that is a good fit for me both athletically and academically. Soccer has become a large part of who I am and I can’t imagine not playing the game.
