Personal Statement
My goal is to attend college, get my master degree in Education or Speech Pathology and play soccer at a higher level of competition. I have been playing soccer since I was eight years old. I started with a premier team at the age of ten and have continued playing at the premier level ever since. As a freshman I made the Varsity team at Shenendehowa, a Division I Class AA school. As a Sophomore I earned a starting spot as an outside back. The team went on to be Class AA Sectional Champions. I made second team all star for our section. As a junior I kept my starting position and my high school team finished the season as Sectional Finalists. I have always dream to continue my soccer career into college.
For most of my soccer career I have played an outside back position, which I love. I love the challenge of running a player down, stealing a ball, carrying it up the sideline and making the pass or taking the shot on goal. I believe I am a solid player with the versatility to play in different positions. I am coachable and give 100% effort in every situation. In the past my coaches have switched me to a midfield or striking position to make a change in the game and I have been able to deliver for them by having a great assist or that needed goal. I am a team player who knows how to read the game. I believe my knowledge of the game, aggression, never give up attitude, and speed are huge assets to any team.
I am able to compete at a high level of competition and maintain a high GPA in the classroom. My drive followed by my hard work ethic helps me stay focused on and off the field. I love to volunteer with youth soccer camps and help young girls achieve their goals on the soccer field. I am also a member of National Jr. Honor Society.
I hope to find the college that is the right fit for me academically and athletically where I can continue to push myself in the classroom and on the field. I will continue to work hard to be a role model for youth and peers.
