I began playing soccer when I was 7 years old on a rec team through the local boys and girls club. Our “kits” (tee shirts actually) were so big they hung down to our knees and the grass on the field seemed to be ankle high. After playing those first games I knew soccer would be something I would be unable to let go of. The game brings so much excitement and joy into my life, and I knew from that day on I wanted to take soccer as far as I could. I have been extremely fortunate to learn and work with amazing coaches to pursue this dream. From my club, ODP, and strength training coaches I have learned the work ethic and dedication necessary to being the best player and teammate I can be.
Off the field I apply this same hard working mindset into everyday life. Maintaining my school work and studies is just as important to me as doing my best in each game and practice. As someone who participates in many school clubs, social activities, and community service organizations I continue to learn how to maintain a balance between my studies and soccer. I strongly believe that participating in these activities throughout the community is helping to shape me into the person I am becoming today. I have learned many lessons over the years; like staying patient with others, be committed and compassionate to those I am working with, and always trying to do my best even when there were many obstacles in my way. My overall mission is to play college soccer at the best possible level I can. To achieve my goal I will continue to work hard, stay focused and build on my experiences.
