Katy Krueger '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Katy Krueger, I’m a 2019 prospect at Fayetteville-Manlius High School and play for the club USA Elite in Syracuse, New York. I have been playing soccer for over ten years, alongside other sports, and aspire to continue playing into college. I have played defense most of my life, but have also played on the wings and as a CM. My assets in a game tend to be my speed and physicality to win tackles in one-v-one situations, as well as my ability to read play. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and am enrolled in several honors and AP courses with a background in the IB program. What makes me unique to a team is my background in Panamá in Latin America, where I played for several club teams and created the first girls soccer team at my school there. My experience there taught me that opportunity always exists, but you must be persistent and patient in any efforts towards achieving your goals. I'm looking for a school that can challenge me both athletically and intellectually. I believe that my unique experience abroad has set me up to be able to make an impact and become an asset to your program, bringing a new and different perspective to most situations on and off the field.
