Maya Presume '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maya Presume and I’m a 5’8” Forward from Brooklyn, NY. I’ve played soccer since I was 5 and competitive soccer since I was 8. I’m a starter on my high school varsity team and was the 12th Goal Scorer in NYC leagues & 2nd top scorer in Manhattan A-League my sophomore year (not including playoffs- including Playoffs, I was #1 in Manhattan A-League and my team's leading goal scorer. ). In my senior, I co-captained my team to 7th in NYC and led us to the quarterfinals of playoffs, the furthest we've ever been. I have a 3.8 GPA. 

Being a middle child and a team player has made me a very competitive person and I am looking for an institution that will challenge me both academically and athletically. Playing soccer has taught me sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork and I take those skills with me on and off the field. Throughout my whole soccer career, I’ve played in almost every position and I believe my versatility on the field has taught me to adjust well and respect what everyone on my team brings to the field. As a coachable and dedicated player, I bring a lot to the game. My passion hasn’t wavered over the past 10 years and I know that at the right institution, that won’t change.
