Personal Statement
Soccer has always gotten me through tough times, i was only 12 when i was officially diagnosed depressed. I thought this would stop me from reaching high and connecting with others. When i got into my high schools varsity team as a freshman i was stunned. Not only did i learn how to reach for help whether its from a teammate for my therapist, i learned that with putting in work and effort all great things come. In 2018 we were seated 2nd in all of NYC and got as far as quarter finals, i'll never forget how hard we worked not just as a team but as a family. I never want to stop playing soccer because it made me who i am and it gave me the supportive family to rely on and work with.
