Alyssa Salls '17 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

I have played soccer since I was 5 years old. I played for the city at the age of 5 and 6 and then I played for Soccer United from the age of 7 through 12 as a goalie. We won 1st place on numerous occasions. I have been playing for Plattsburgh Football Club since I was 12 and I still play for them today.  I work hard in both my academics and in soccer.  I was pulled up to varsity level soccer at the end of my 8th grade season and was the starting goalie as a freshman. I love the sport and will go above and beyond for my teammates and my coaches. I was named captain this past season as a junior and was named Division I All-Star both my sophomore and junior years.  I enjoy working hard, helping my team work hard, and never give up.  I love the challenge of being a goalie and also the challenge of my academics. I especially love my physics course and the challenge it has given me as well as my engineering course. I like to push myself and do not take easy courses just to get by, I have taken AP Physics, AP Chemistry, Trigonometry, Principles of Engineering as well as other advanced classes. I am in the top 12% of my class and will try to improve on that as well. I plan on majoring in engineering or in computers (IT, science, etc.).  I also play basketball and softball, both at the varsity level as I like to make sure I stay active and stay in shape. I am also a snowboarder and I play the violin, clarinet, and the saxophone. In my down time I like to read.
