Personal Statement
My collegiate goals are become a Pediatric doctor because of my desire to help children grow up with the best health care so that they can live healthy and happy adult lives. I feel like what makes me a good candidate for your team is that I am very driven when it comes to doing things that I love. I have played soccer almost all of my life and that has not only taught me discipline, but also leadership and decision making. Because I am a first generation American-born citizen from an African family, I have learned the difference between borderline work and going above and beyond. That has also helped me to further my skills athletic wise and though I am not extremely good, I will always try my best, whether it is during practice or games or even in my backyard. These things have shaped who I am as a person and will continue to help me find who I am in the future.
