I am a 15-year-old going into my sophomore year at Kellenberg Memorial high school. My passion for soccer started at the age of 5 with a recreational soccer team. I began playing travel soccer when I was 8 and for the last few seasons, have played on Surf (or its predecessors’) RL team. Although a lot has changed, my team, position, my number but one thing has always stayed the same… my love for the sport. Whenever I have a chance, I play. Whether it's on the field, in my backyard, or even trying to juggle with random objects in the house, I will always search out opportunities.
A little bit about me: I strive to be a leader both on and off the field. On the pitch, I direct my teammates to goal and help them keep possession. While off the field, I take on leadership programs at school, such as the S.M.A.R.T program where I help tutor after-school. In addition, this summer I am a counselor at Buckley Day Camp, where I work with six year olds.
Although soccer is a large part of my after school activities, I still prioritize my studies and maintain an 87 average after my first year in school putting in the time needed to stay on top of my studies.
I am looking to find a school to pursue my passions around both soccer and to achieve my educational goals where I can get a degree that will allow me to work with children.
