I am undecided about my major at this point as a high school sophomore. However, I am interested in science and sports related careers. Regardless of my major, once I decide on my major I will commit to doing my best. I am involved in doing volunteer work in different areas and I want to continue to be a difference maker in this world. I tend to be competitive in all that I do.
I am an excellent candidate for a competitive college soccer team because I am a student of the sport. Seemingly small details matter and I seek out information from multiple sources to improve my game. I naturally get along well with people of different backgrounds and I am a leader. I have been entrusted with leadership type positions from a young age. I truly enjoy people and I am very social and I make sure to include everyone. More importantly, I am teachable.
Furthermore, I am very competitive in two other sports in addition to soccer. Studies have shown that athletes that play multiple sports tend to be smarter about how they use their bodies. Soccer is my favorite sport and I believe that also being very competitive in basketball and field events helps my soccer game tremendously and actually helps keep me relatively injury free overall. I also have the advantage of being taller than many girls my age and a solid build in addition to an athletic mind. I am not timid, nor afraid of pain and my work ethic is solid. One cannot be competitive by trying to cut corners and I can be counted on to do what a coach asks me to do even when the coach isn't watching. Many of these qualities are philosophies that describe my overall approach to life (including academics) as well.
