Personal Statement
Since I was a little kid all I did was play soccer, it was like I was born with a ball at my feet and my love for the game has grown with my age. With playing the game it has made me into a person that is very determined to have my life go the way I want it. I have learned the value of earning what you work for and not giving up just because it gets hard. I make sure not to let any injury get in the way of me playing. In the first semester of 2017-2018 school year, I had a major knee injury. Fortunately I did not have to go through surgery but had to work very hard to get back into shape. I went through personal trainers, going to the gym, physical therapy, and just doing everything in my power to get back to how I used to play. This experience taught me to adapt to my situation and to create a solution and/or goals. I have learned perseverance through tough times and used this to also further, not just my soccer goals, but academic goals as well.
My experience with getting injured and going through the process of getting back in shape, I began to get interested into Physical Therapy and Biomedical Sciences. While being a player I am going to use the skills I gained (determination, perseverance, work ethic, etc.) to get those amazing grades, keep up with my school work, and as well to put my best foot forward on the field.
