Personal Statement
Hey, my name is Bailey Spell and I have been playing soccer since I was four years old. I am very determined, never take plays off the field, and I am very team oriented. Soccer takes up so much of my life. I am very interested in playing soccer for a college team, preferably in state. Since I was little my coaches have always moved me around the field not really knowing which position was meant for me. This past year I played for the women's soccer team at Clinton High School as right back. I have always been told that I am strong in the midfield but this past year as wing I found myself really enjoying that position. As a lover of this sport I am very competitive when it comes to playing it, I never enjoy losing or even tying a soccer game, especially if we are meant to win. This past year as a sophomore on the Varsity Women's team I advanced to the fifth round of playoffs against Carrboro High School, first time in history, this round was where the journey of our season ended. It was a very great experience and I can't wait to play again next Spring. Two of my greatest athletic accomplishments was being selected to play on the 2018 East Girls Team for the Powerade State Games and winning the gold medal (3-0) in the games and being selected for the 2019 East Girls Team for the Powerade State Games being recognized as captain. Not only am I a lover of soccer but I am very determined in academics as well. Education is another major part of my life and one day I want it to bring success to my life. I am very interested in the medical/health science field and my interest has stuck with me since I was very little. I know that after college I would like to pursue a career in this field and I am very driven to accomplish this goal.
