Riley Fernandez '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Riley Fernandez, I graduate in the Spring of 2022 from Voyager Academy Highschool. Soccer has always been my passion along with leadership. I love to keep myself involved  in my school and extracurricular activities. At my high school, I am the leader of our service club, a member of the National Honors Society, and help lead music for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. these activities have taught me to be a leader on my soccer team.  Outside of school, I play club soccer for Premier UK Elite, help lead music at my church, and work at Chick-fil-a. At work, I have taken on many leadership roles including, senior team member, a part of the culture team, as well as being on the training team. Chick-fil-A has taught me to have a growth mindset, and Serve the team. Growth mindset helps me to take criticism and work to be the best version of myself.  All of these activities keep me busy but have also taught me how to best manage my time, be a team leader, and be a role model. I pride myself on my strong work ethic and determination; if I commit to something I go all in. I have learned how to apply skills such as leadership, training, determination, and growth mindset to the soccer field, which has made me more coachable, a better player, and a better teammate.
