Hi, my name is Emery Conklin and I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. In middle school, I started for the high school team and we made it to the state semi-finals. The past 5 years I have played club soccer in addition to participating in ODP for 2 of those years. With ODP, I had the opportunity to be coached by college coaches while playing against top players from other states in subregional events and at the south region camp in Alabama. From a young age I have always had a goal to play in college and compete at a high level. I am very passionate about soccer and I'm not scared to step out of my comfort zone and try new things. I would be a great addition to your team as I get along with other girls well and am outgoing from the start. Communication is one of my strong suits and I use that in and outside of games. I am very coachable and a motivator. If the team is losing and feeling defeated, I don't stop competing. Instead, I encourage the team to keep competing and not give up. I work hard for my grades and am a self-motivated student. My strengths are government, history and language arts. I’ve taken several AP and honors classes and have done well in all of them, all while working a part-time job and playing soccer at the club and high school level.
