Emily Brewer '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emily Brewer. I've been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. I started playing club soccer at 10. I started soccer playing only offense, but my club coach saw my potential as a defender. I instantly fell in love with defense. I love the feeling of running down an opponent on the sidelines. I use my body and strength to get to the ball. When I get the ball, I show composure even with high pressure. Although, I am not perfect and make mistakes, I make sure to recover, drop back, and cover for my teammates, so my mistake doesn't negatively impact the game. Defense is what I am most confident in but I play multiple positions when I am needed. As long as I'm not in the goal I will impact the game. I have a great dedication to soccer. I never want to leave practice or games. I could play all day, every day.

I want to play college soccer. I want to achieve the highest level of soccer. College soccer will give me the experience and work I need to become the best player. I have the academics to be a college student-athlete. I care about my academics and do not slack off. No one expects things from me. Only I expect things from myself. I put in the work and mindset to improve all aspects of the game. My dream is to play college soccer, and I am very committed to ensuring my goals and dreams come true.
