Katie Mackleer '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, Katie Mackleer is my name. I'm a junior who has been playing goal keeper since I was 5 years old.    I pride myself on mental fortitude and physical toughness with the knowledge that Goal Keepers set the tone for the club.    Opposing offenses, make no mistake.....I bring the hammer to the way I play goal.

In just my freshman HS year, I was selected MEC Defensive Player of the Year over several older ECNL keepers and many ECNL defensive backs.   We also took our team to its first 4A playoff.   Both accomplishments I look on repeating in '23.  

For club, I recently switch ECNL teams to find the Tampa Bay United.   This TBU group of Coaches have been fantastic and I am so excited to play along side such talented young women.    I was so motivated play with this club.

As a teammate, we are a family; I got you and you have me.   I pick my teammates up, and am always positive with my defense backs

My education is as valuable to me as my athletic career. I aim to make the most of my education and participate in activities that will help me grow my character in the long run.   My goal is to play at a high college level and attend a school that will become like a second home to me.
