My goal is to obtain an undergraduate degree in sports medicine or a related field which will prepare me to apply for PA school and play soccer at the collegiate level while working toward my degree. My ultimate career goal is to be a Physician's Assistant in a NICU unit. To prepare for these goals, I have begun volunteering at a local hospital in the surgical center and meeting with other young professionals who have recently graduated from PA school. I am currently playing two sports this Fall which include club soccer and cross country while maintaining mainly A's and a few B's in my high school classes. I have always been told I am more mature than others my age which has been evident in the hard work and dedication I have shown toward school and sports thus far in my academic and athletic career as a young student-athlete.
I am a good candidate for a collegiate-level team because I am a committed and dedicated player who regularly puts the needs of others on the team before my own. I believe I am a coachable athlete who is receptive to feedback and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my team maintains a positive culture and is successful. Based on my performance on the last two club teams I have had the honor to play on, I was selected by my teammates to serve as Captain on both teams. I have always known I wanted to be a student-athlete in college. I have shown initiative to prepare to work toward my goals by serving as the advertising manager for the Yearbook at my school, participating in the Crosby Scholars program, serving as a member of the Crosby Scholars leadership Council, serving as a member of the Youth Leadership Council at Morris Chapel United Methodist Chuch and was selected to attend the inaugural North Carolina FBI Youth Leadership Academy. I stand out from my peers because I hold myself to a high standard and work hard to achieve my goals. I am a team player who is encouraging and committed to the overall success of my team and not just myself.
