Hi I am Elise Alexander and I go to The Summit Country Day. Not only do I play soccer but I run the 200 and 400 for spring track which brings out my competitive side along with soccer. I also cheer in winter for basketball and this brings out my supportiveness and team values at heart. I am a very dedicated, hard working, and loyal player. I enjoy helping my teammates and watching them succeed. Something I always keep in my mind is the team is more important than my individual self. During the beginning of Sophomore year I was diagnosed with an eating disorder, anorexia. I was only able to play half of my club season in the spring and having soccer taken away from me really showed me how much I truly loved it. The loss of half my season is what truly motivated me to play in college. Loosing soccer showed me have much love for the sport I have and I do not want to lose it. This motivated me to do whatever I needed to do to get back out on the field and I carry this motivation still to this day. The time I spent not being able to play was rough but I went to every game and was there for my teammates. Seeing how excited my teammates were for me finally being able to play again really showed me the importance of the team aspect in soccer. To me your soccer team is a second family and I hope to find a second family with a team in college.
