Alayna Mitchell '19 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals are to continue my passion while pursuing my career. I would make a good candidate for your team is because I am very determined and a hard worker. My sophomore year during the second scrimmage of the year I blew out my knee. I was supposed to be out for a year, however I came back in five months. I decided that this injury was not going to hold me back. After coming back I was told that I was not going to be the same player as I once was. However this year I won MVP for my high school team and I received first team all conference. I worked every day in practice like it was my last, because I know how everything can be ripped away in the matter of a second. Character wise I am a captain on my soccer team and I make a point to take the underclassman under my wing. Still from this season I have made relationships that have lasted. Great friendships have emerged from me reaching out to the underclassman. Although I would like to bring talent to your team, more importantly I want to bring a culture. I want to bring our team closer together. I want the seniors on the team each year to walk away and say, "That was the best team I was apart of."
