Personal Statement
I am a 4.0 student- athlete. I have been a National Honor Society member for 3 years. I am tied for first place in class rankings. Although I am a student-athlete, I always put my schooling first. I manage my time so that I can study and get good grades. Last year I had 97% attendance due to suffering a concussion during soccer season. So far this year I have 100% attendance. My home school is Tri-County North. For my junior and senior year I have had the opportunity to attend Miami Valley Career Technology Center where I am taking Sports Medicine.
I have been on the Tri-County North Varsity Girls soccer team for four years now. For two years I have been a captain of the team. I am a strong leader that many of my teammates look up to. I tell the girls that they can always come to me with questions or to get help with certain skills. My primary position is Center back, but I also sometimes play outside back. My coaches told me many times that parents would come up to them after games and say "[i]f we had eleven Chelseys on the team, we would have it made". I give it my all at practices and games. I am a great listener. I take advice that is given to me and use for my advantage.
Ever since I started playing soccer at the age of seven, I wanted to be a women's professional soccer player. That dream still remains alive today. I know for certain that I want to play soccer in college. I want to go to a college that offers Pre-Medicine. I want to be a Neurosurgeon because I love helping people. I am also really fascinated with the human brain. I want to achieve a 3.5 GPA or higher when in college.
