I have been playing soccer since I was just a little girl. Taking a break from the long and stressful days with this game is the most wonderful feeling in the world. Soccer truly is the escape from reality that helps me stay positive and motivated. Knowing that after school I get to play my favorite game makes school a significantly happier place for me. This sport helped me get through my parents divorce in so many ways. It brought me another family that I could talk to when I was feeling down. It also gave me a chance to just be myself instead of having the stress of trying to keep the peace at home on my shoulders. Without this game, this lifestyle I wouldn't be where I am today.
Throughout my high school career my team has been rewarded with two district championships and a league championship. The 2019 season was my junior season and my most memorable season. Finishing second in league and first in district we started the season off a little rough and we weren't expected to go very far after graduating nine starters. By the end of the season we had an eight game winning streak and found ourselves as district champions. This season taught me that no matter what people think if you work hard and long for the things you want you will achieve nothing less than success. I am excited to see what the future may hold for me both academically and athletically.
