My goals include going D1 or D2 for soccer in college and pursuing an agricultural-related degree. I am not dead set on a major yet though. After that I would enjoy going pro if it is in my ability.
From the beginning of my soccer experience when I was seven, I always loved to be back in the goal. Unlike some others, I enjoy the challenges and pressure that being a goalkeeper brings. In fact, I started being a full time goalkeeper when I was in 6th grade. I really love the sport and couldn't imagine life without it.
Grades are very important to me. I work hard to keep my grades at a high level. When I was younger I was put into a program for gifted children and thrived in that setting.
In my opinion something that makes me stand out is my mentality of hard work. I was raised on a family farm and continue today to help out on that farm. I feel that people should work hard to earn what they get. Outside of normal team trainings I do personal goalkeeper trainings. Even though they are very hard and exhausting, I enjoy the hard work because of what good things come out it. Another thing that makes me different is how I respond to pressure. Instead of panicking and losing focus, it's like instinct takes over and I just focus on the ball. I enjoy pressure because opportunities for the best saves and plays can form during that time.
