Hello Coaches,
My name is Hollie Robinson. I have played soccer my whole life and club soccer starting at the age of eight. When l am not on the soccer field working on my skills or competing, I enjoy studying film of my own games or professional games. Watching live or recorded games has made me a student of the game and not just a player. I have wanted to play at the collegiate level ever since I learned I could become a student-athlete at a college. It excites me to think I can make an impact for a college on the pitch and through my proven academic excellence.
As a student of the Benton-Carroll-Salem Local School District in Ohio, I have always strived to excel academically, athletically, and as a human being. I pride myself on being a good listener, helpful to all, a team player on the pitch and in the classroom, coachable at practice and during games, and highly self-motivated. In school, I frequently engage with my teachers and fellow students to learn as much as possible and help others academically when afforded the opportunity. During practices and games, I use this same skill set to learn from and teach others about soccer. I have volunteered to help our school resource officer in any projects he may have to keep our schools safe for my teachers and classmates. I have volunteered as a scorekeeper and ran the clock during the 2020-2021 biddy basketball season, representing the high school women’s basketball team which I am also a member of.
Academically, I continuously strive to have the best grades in my classes. My self-motivation started at an early age and continues to this day, resulting in a 4.025 GPA. My desire to push myself in the classroom has shown my teachers my commitment to academics, resulting in strong connections with my teachers and other staff members at my school. Along with my self-motivation, I love to help anyone around me as well as volunteering. As an athlete, I learn from anyone I can, whether it’s from film or coaches. I am always striving to be the best wherever I go on and off the field.
